Our take
I needed a compact, multi-purpose piece for my small living room, and this Alden futon seemed to fit the bill. The black polyester fabric looks clean and modern, and the stain resistance is a nice practical touch. Setting it up was straightforward, though I wish the arm height was listed (it's 0 inches, so no arms—good for sleeping but less supportive for lounging). The foam fill is firm enough for seating but feels a bit thin for overnight guests. The chrome legs add a sleek look, but the overall build feels a tad lightweight at 68 lbs. For the price, it's a decent option if you need a simple convertible couch for occasional use, but don't expect deep comfort.
